Happy by Roko Belic

happy is a story of Roko Belic and his crew of cameramen going around the globe and meeting happy people.

It was extremely enjoyable to see the joy on people's faces and made me rethink what really makes me happy. I used to think that things that really made me happy were too simple and discredited them, after watching this movie I realized it's fine to enjoy the simple things. From watching the families around the world enjoy spending time together to going out and embracing the beauty of the world around us. It showed in many ways that the common way to form happiness is to form good relationships with people, which soon became my solution to depression.

happy was the first example of the power of relationships on people; so much so that I never realized what those relationships did for the people in the movie. People living in flooded, muddy and overall poor living standards compared to more developed locations; those people were far more happier than those in developed locations, especially more than those living in the U.S. This one man who needed to work everyday, pulling lots of people in his chariot to provide for his family was completely satisfied with his life; he was able to see his son’s smiling face before and after work and that’s all he really needed.

Those in Denmark, one of the happiest places on earth, were extremely happy due to living with strangers. A mother of 2 in Denmark found that their community made sure that everyone felt needed, appreciated and to keep people from becoming lonely. Most weren’t even related but they saw each other as family.

Overall happy was a great movie with a wonderful message of, the science of happiness and ways people try to achieve that happiness. Each way is different for every person in the world but about every single person in the world want to be happy. Doesn’t matter who they are or where they are, they still want to be happy.
